About the Journal

The Turkish Yearbook of Çanakkale Studies is a peer-reviewed journal indexed by international indexes. It is being published by The Atatürk and Gallipoli Campaign Research Centre of the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University since the year 2003. The journal is  accepting articles in Turkish and English and it is published twice a year, in April and October.
 
The Turkish Yearbook of Çanakkale Studies is indexed by the international indexes of Eurasian Scientific Journal Index (ESJI), Index Islamicus, International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), Modern Language Association (MLA) and Scientific Indexing Services. The national indexes  indexing the journal are Acar İndeks, Akademik Dizin, Arastirmax, Sosyal Bilimler Atıf Dizini (SOBIAD), TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Türk Eğitim İndeksi. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Ebscohost, Google Scholar and Makaleler Bibliyografyası are the databases indexing the journal. The papers that are accepted for publication are given DOI numbers.
 
After the evaluation of the editorial board, the submitted papers are delivered to two, or three if need be, referees specialized in the related issue. Upon the approval of the editorial board, the paper is published. The board may resolve to publish or not to publish other types of papers (e.g. symposium and congress announcement, book reviews) in its sole discretion.

The journal is placing a particular importance to scientific articles concerning the Gallipoli Campaign and the social, economic, cultural heritage of the city of Çanakkale and its environs. It is accepting scientific research articles regarding social and humanities sciences.

Open Access Statement Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to full texts of articles publised in The Turkish Yearbook of Çanakkale Studies. Copyright protection applies automatically to any original work as soon as it is written down or put into a permanent or fixed form. The Turkish Yearbook of Çanakkale Studies Institute is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for all to read, download, copy and distribute as defined by the applied license.
This license allows users to copy and distribute the article, provided:

-This is not done for commercial purposes and further does not permit distribution of the Article if it is changed or edited in any way.

-the user gives appropriate credit (with a link to the formal publication through the relevant DOI) and provides a link to the license but not in an any way implying that the licensor is endorsing the user or the use of the work.
-No derivatives including remix, transform, or build upon the material was allowed for distribution.
- For open access publishing, this journal uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors will transfer copyright to the journal but will have the right to share their article in the same way permitted to third parties under the relevant user license, as well as certain scholarly usage rights. The articles submitted to our journal are screened in Turnitin and iThenticate for plagiarism.
 
Our journal does not charge the authors during the article processing and article submission processes.
